K. F. F. D.

K.F.F.D.=Klamath Falls Fire Department

It might has well have been the Kiddie Fun Fire Department.

As we headed south to a family reunion in Northern California at the end of June, we stopped in Klamath Falls, OR to feed Holly. We wanted to find a park where the big kids could play while I nursed Holly, however, she was not having any of that. We spotted a grassy spot and figured that would have to be good enough. It turned out to be the "backyard" of the local firehouse.

We were parked in a cul-de-sac behind and to the right of this front view of the building.

Damon and the kiddos relaxed and alternately ran around in the shade and grass while I fed Holly and read a book in the car. At one point I looked up and everyone was gone! I was starting to get a little worried when Damon returned to the car for the camera. He reported that one of the girls had needed the restroom, so they went into the fire station to see about using theirs. Well, once inside the firemen invited them for a tour and all kinds of hands-on fun!

Adah got to dress up in full firemean garb:

(Gunnar merely sported a plastic fireman hat.)

Their visit was cut short when the alarm went off and the firemen had to actually go out on a call!

When we returned home after the reunion, Damon and the girls sent a thank you note to the nice men at Klamath Falls Fire District #1, Station 4.
